Much has been said of dubstep and it’s many supposed sub genres, to many though it all sounds quite similar. This is hopefully an illustration of the more techno-ish end of the spectrum (rather than the rude bass, post rave screaming sound that’s going to the main stream). Owing as much to house, garage and minimal techno in terms of production these tunes spend a lot of time in the submersed in bass with the odd click and pop to remind you that the your speakers aren’t broken.

In some corners this is disparagingly referred to as brostep, but then everyone and their uncle are coming up with *step variations to name minor variation in dance music. Totally pointless.
